Detection and quantification of second messengers in different kind of cells is a challenging task, due to low levels and highly charged molecules. Nevertheless, a separation and detection of small concentration differences of these molecules are necessary to understand the metabolism of live. My task is to develop methods for extraction and quantification of these signal molecules. Here, I use weak anion exchange extraction and capillary electrophoresis (CE) for analysis.
